Maple Leaf Foods Completes Purchase of Ontario Poultry Plant and Associated Supply

BURLINGTON, ON – Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) acknowledges the recent announcement by Maple Leaf Foods of the completion of the purchase of a poultry processing plant located near Schomberg, Ontario, together with the associated poultry supply.

Maple Leaf Foods’ initial acquisition of Cericola Farms was previously announced in October of 2018. With the purchase of the Schomberg plant now complete, CFO has made the necessary associated administrative changes and affected CFO farmer-members will see these changes reflected in production schedules.
