MCGA Board of Directors Welcomes 2025-26 Leadership Team

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association Board of Directors welcomes its 2025-26 leadership team. Wes Beck of St. James will serve as president, Todd Wentzel of Murdock will serve as first vice president, Rob Tate of Cannon Falls will serve as treasurer, and Nick Peterson of Clear Lake will serve as secretary.

A longtime family farmer who raises corn and soybeans and finishes hogs, Beck has served on the MCGA board since 2019. His priorities as a farmer-leader include research, new uses for corn such as sustainable aviation fuel, international trade, and government policy.

Wentzel, who has been on the MCGA board since 2020, raises corn, soybeans, spring wheat, and edible beans with his wife, brother, and sister-in-law in Murdock. Tate raises corn and soybeans in Cannon Falls and also works as a crop insurance agent. Peterson raises corn, seed corn, soybeans, kidney beans and rye in Clear Lake and serves as the leader of Minnesota Corn’s Discovery & Development Team.
