Mechan International expands in Canada with AgWest

As of May 1, 2023, AgWest Ltd. will be added to the Dutch Mechan International. AgWest is one of Canada’s most prominent agricultural equipment dealers with six locations throughout Manitoba. This acquisition aligns with the Mechan International strategy to expand the geographical footprint.

AgWest is a subsidiary of Toromont Industries Ltd., a limited company incorporated and domiciled in Canada. The AgWest company has a loyal and passionate team that provides products and services principally distributed out of three locations: Elie (Head Office), Brandon and Neepawa. Three satellite locations are located in Swan River, Morden and Russell providing parts and service.

The AgWest equipment offering includes combines, tractors and other agricultural machinery and equipment, while striving to offer differentiated services and solutions for the Manitoba farmers. The distribution agreement held with AGCO includes all their product lines, including Fendt, MF, Challenger, Sunflower, White and the application product line branded Rogator, TerraGator and Wilmar. AgWest has the exclusive rights to distribute CLAAS combines in the entire province of Manitoba.
