Meet the Garden, Meet the Farm: Bourgeois Farm Community Garden Showcase Event

Join the Ontario Farmland Trust (OFT) on Saturday, October 18th, at 10:00 AM -11:30 AM for an exciting morning at the Bourgeois Farm in Tiverton, ON. This hands-on event is a chance to connect with the land, learn about the farm’s community gardens, and take part in planting next year’s garlic crop.

The day will begin with a guided tour of the farmstead and community garden, highlighting the history of the property and the many initiatives happening on site that the community can take part in. Afterwards, participants will roll up their sleeves for a garlic planting activity, led by Simona Freiberg from The Sustainability Project. This workshop will introduce the basics of garlic planting while giving participants a meaningful way to contribute to the garden.

We’ll be planting rain or shine, so dress for the weather and bring gardening gloves if you have them—we’ll provide the garlic!
