Mild Weather, Lack Of Snow Puts Saskatchewan Crops At Risk

A crop analyst says the mild winter is putting many winter cereal crops in Saskatchewan at risk to winterkill.
 
G3 Canada weather and crop specialist Bruce Burnett says snow usually acts as an insulator for winter wheat and fall rye.
 
He says a sudden cold snap could cause winterkill because of the lack of snowcover.
