The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host a stop on Pivot Bio's national Year of One Million Thanks Buddy Seat Tour on Thursday, Nov. 5, bringing farmers, students, researchers and agricultural leaders together for conversations about the future of agriculture.
The event will take place on Nebraska's East Campus, where Pivot Bio's traveling "Grati-Tractor" will be stationed in front of Chase Hall. Visitors are invited to see the tractor, write messages of appreciation to farmers and learn more about the national initiative.
Throughout the day, Pivot Bio CEO Chris Abbott will host a series of "Buddy Seat" conversations with farmers, university representatives, students and government leaders. Discussions will explore challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska agriculture, including workforce development, innovation and technology adoption, agricultural literacy, natural resource stewardship and rural economic growth.
"At Nebraska, our land-grant mission is rooted in serving the people and communities who drive our state's agricultural industry," said Jessie Brophy, senior director of strategic initiatives and external relations for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
