A new initiative designed to accelerate innovation across beef and dairy production systems worldwide was launched last week by the Yield Lab Institute (YLI), a non-profit organization working to accelerate the development and adoption of technologies that improve agricultural productivity, sustainability and resilience.
The initiative, called the Global Cattle Innovation Platform (GCIP), is designed to connect stakeholders across the cattle value chain to identify priority challenges and find practical solutions that can be implemented more quickly within the industry.
Focus will be maintained on producer profitability, sustainability, animal health and welfare, operational resilience and global food security.
