Ontario Pork announces board leadership and election results

GUELPH, ONTARIO — Ontario Pork is pleased to announce that Tara Terpstra, a pork producer from Huron County, has been acclaimed as Chair of the Board for a third consecutive year. TJ Murray, a producer from Oxford County, has been acclaimed as Vice-Chair for a second year.

Both Terpstra and Murray bring extensive on-farm experience and a strong commitment to advancing Ontario’s pork sector.

“We have built strong momentum over the past year, and I am pleased to continue this work alongside the Board and Ontario pork producers,” said Terpstra. “Our focus remains on strengthening relationships, speaking up for producers, and ensuring Ontario Pork continues to deliver value to its members.”

Ontario Pork also announced that Bruce Hudson, representing Zone 5, Karen Sanders, representing Zone 1, and TJ Murray, elected at large, were re-elected to the Board for three-year terms.

Ontario Pork looks forward to continuing its work on behalf of producers across the province through strong governance, effective advocacy, and a clear focus on mitigating risks for the pork sector.
