PIC opens next phase of Technology Leadership Program

Protein Industries Canada is now accepting new Expressions of Interest  (EOI) for their Technology Leadership Program.

CEO Bill Greuel says they had 36 EOIs in the first call, noting it's evident that the sector is positive about the long-term growth opportunities for plant-based food, feed and ingredients, and that the cluster model has been embraced by the industry.

EOIs under the second round will be accepted until June 26th.

Projects must include the use of a high-protein dryland crop such as lentils, peas, chickpeas, canola, fava, oat, flax, lupin or soy.

Approved projects can receive up to 45 per cent reimbursement of eligible costs.
