The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is coming back to Toronto, bringing 10 days of livestock competitions, equestrian events, food and family-friendly entertainment to Exhibition Place.
Running from Friday, Nov. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 15, the annual event will take over the Enercare Centre and Coca-Cola Coliseum to showcase Canadian agriculture and some of the world's top equestrian talent.
First held in 1922, the Royal Winter Fair is billed as the world's largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition, typically drawing more than 260,000 visitors annually, according to organizers.
One of the fair's biggest attractions is the Royal Horse Show, which features show jumping, dressage, indoor eventing and heavy horse competitions.
Tickets for the Royal Horse Show are available online and include same-day general admission to the fair.
The equestrian program will culminate in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Toronto on Nov. 14, while the Royal Rodeo will return on Nov. 15, with Heartland actress Amber Marshall scheduled to co-host both events.
