Seeding is Progressing Nicely

Seeding 2016 is well underway in South West Saskatchewan.

Regional Crop Specialist Shannon Chant says farmers are making some good progress out there.

"From what I've seen, what I heard - things are progressing fairly well," she said. "Definitely seen some drills out, some people were rolling. After pulse seeding, I've heard of one group that's moved on from lentils to Canola. Things have been progressing well. The weather has been cooperatively. Definitely some weed control going on - which is good."
