Senate Agriculture Committee Clears Farm Bill - IDFA Calls for Swift, Bipartisan Path to Passage

The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry today moved a new five-year Farm Bill to the full Senate. Michael Dykes, D.V.M., president and CEO of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), issued the following statement:

“IDFA commends Chairman John Boozman and members of the Committee for their leadership and work to deliver a new five-year farm bill, including provisions important to the dairy industry such as the Dairy Nutrition Incentive Program and other key dairy programs. We urge the full Senate to take up the Farm Bill without delay and encourage senators on both sides of the aisle to come together around a path that can earn bipartisan approval. America’s dairy industry, farmers and families need the certainty of a new five-year Farm Bill, and today’s action brings us meaningfully closer to that goal."
