SIP Welcomes Ravneet Kaur as Manager of Research Development

Swine Innovation Porc (SIP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ravneet Kaur as Manager of Research Development, effective July 2, 2024.

As Manager of Research Development, Ravneet will serve as a key liaison between SIP and the Canadian pork research community. She will provide focused support for ongoing research initiatives, such as the Swine Cluster, and will foster new collaborative research with SIP’s partners across industry, academia, and government.

Prior to joining SIP, Ravneet served as Sask Pork’s Producer Services Manager, where she managed the provincial implementation of Canadian Pork Council programs. Her work experience has involved close collaboration with pork producers, addressing agricultural regulatory issues, and advancing swine research.

Ravneet is a foreign-trained veterinarian with a Master’s degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Saskatchewan. Her extensive background in swine health, research, and industry engagement provides her with experience that is closely aligned with  pork sector and producer research priorities.

“This appointment is a step towards revitalizing SIP’s role as a facilitator and coordinator of research across the pork sector, in line with our renewed strategic plan” said Daniel Ramage, General Manager at SIP. “I look forward to Ravneet’s leadership in building national research partnerships together with the Canadian pork research community.”
