Longtime Youth Leader Recognized for Service and Agricultural Impact

Todd Klink has been named the recipient of the 2026 4-H Canada Honorary Member Award, the highest recognition presented by the organization. The award celebrates his many years of leadership, volunteer service, and dedication to supporting youth development and agriculture across Canada.

A former 4-H member, Klink has spent decades helping young people develop important life skills such as leadership, confidence, teamwork, and responsibility. His work has contributed to the growth of the 4-H program and has positively influenced communities throughout the country.

"Todd exemplifies the very best of the 4-H spirit," said Robert Larsen, Chair of the Canadian 4-H Council, "He has strengthened our organization in immeasurable ways. Through his vision, generosity, and dedication, he has helped ensure that future generations of young Canadians will continue to benefit from the opportunities that 4-H provides."

Over the years, Klink served as both a Trustee and Chair of the Canadian 4-H Foundation. In these roles, he helped guide major initiatives that expanded the Foundation’s reach and increased support for youth programs. His leadership focused on creating opportunities that would benefit future generations of young Canadians.

One of his most notable achievements was helping develop the “Tomorrow Needs 4-H” fundraising campaign. The initiative encouraged donors, partners, and alumni to invest in youth leadership and the future of the 4-H movement. The campaign helped strengthen long-term support for educational programs and community development activities.

Klink has also promoted youth leadership through his career with Farm Credit Canada, where he serves as Chief Purpose Officer. He played an important role in supporting the FCC Club Fund, which has provided more than $1 million to local 4-H clubs and projects. These investments have helped expand access to educational resources and hands-on learning opportunities for young people.

“I am truly honoured to receive this recognition from 4‑H Canada," said Todd Klink. "For generations, 4‑H has helped young people discover their strengths, build lifelong skills, and develop a sense of purpose and belonging. The impact of those experiences extends far beyond the club years shaping future leaders, volunteers, and community builders.”

His contributions extend beyond Canada. Klink represented 4-H Canada at the 2017 Global 4-H Summit, where he helped share Canadian experiences, build international partnerships, and promote positive youth development worldwide.
