Eggs in Incubators on June 1 Up 8 Percent from Last Year

Turkey eggs in incubators on June 1, 2014, in the United States totaled 29.0 million, up 8 percent from June 1, 2013. Eggs in incubators were down slightly from the May 1, 2014 total of 29.0 million eggs. 

Poults Hatched During May Up 8 Percent from Last Year

Turkey poults hatched during May 2014, in the United States totaled 24.2 million, up 8 percent from May 2013. Poults hatched were up 6 percent  from the April 2014 total of 22.8 million poults. 

Net Poults Placed During May Up 9 Percent from Last Year

The 23.9 million net poults placed during May 2014 in the United States were up 9 percent from the number placed during the same month a year earlier. Net placements were up 6 percent from the April 2014 total of 22.6 million.
