New HM126MAX delivers wider cutting capability and improved lumber output
Woodland Mills has introduced the HM126MAX Portable Sawmill, a new machine designed to provide greater cutting capacity and improved lumber production for customers. The latest model builds on the success of a long-standing portable sawmill platform while offering enhanced performance and efficiency.
Woodland Mills is a Canadian owned and operated company.
The HM126MAX features a redesigned cutting system that allows the sawmill to achieve a full 26-inch cutting width. This improvement enables users to make better use of the machine's capacity and process larger sections of wood without requiring a larger sawmill model.
One of the key advantages of the new design is that the maximum cutting width now matches the machine's 26-inch log diameter capacity. This allows operators to fully utilize the entire cutting area and get more value from each log. As a result, users can produce more usable lumber while reducing waste.
The increased cutting capability also creates opportunities for producing wide live-edge slabs, which are popular for furniture, tables, and decorative woodworking projects. In addition, the machine remains well suited for producing dimensional lumber used in construction and other practical applications.
"The HM126 holds a special place in our company's history," said Neil Bramley, Co-Founder of Woodland Mills. "It was one of the products that helped establish Woodland Mills and introduced countless customers to portable sawmilling. With the HM126MAX, we wanted to build on that foundation by giving customers more cutting capacity while preserving the simplicity and value that made the original so successful."
Company leaders explained that the new model was developed to build on the strong reputation of the original HM126 sawmill. By introducing an upgraded cutting system, the company aimed to provide more capacity while keeping the simplicity, reliability, and value that customers have appreciated for years.
"As engineers, we're always looking for ways to improve our products," said Josh Malcolm, Co-Founder of Woodland Mills. "The HM126MAX is a great example of that mindset. By introducing our FULLCUT™ sawhead design to the HM126 platform, we've created a sawmill that better utilizes its full capacity and gives customers more opportunity to turn valuable logs into valuable lumber."
The development team focused on improving overall performance and maximizing the usefulness of every log process. The enhanced design helps operators convert more raw material into finished lumber, increasing productivity, and making the milling process more efficient.
