Bonnie Dunbar participated in five space flights and amassed more than 50 days in space before her retirement from NASA in 2005.
Prior to taking to the stars, Dunbar spent her childhood on a 40-acre cattle and wheat ranch in Sunnyside, Wash. where she herded cattle and helped repair fences.
