Julia Klöckner, who was named Germany’s Wine Queen in 1995, has served as the country’s federal minister of food and agriculture since March 2018.
During her time as ag minister, Klöckner has received criticism for appearing in a video that her critics called an advertisement for Nestle, has overseen a plan to cut food waste and has engaged in conversations with farmers after the government introduced a plan to ban glyphosate by 2023.
