Olaug Bollestad, a Norwegian nurse, was named the country’s minister of agriculture in January 2019.
Some of the issues she’d had to manage since becoming Norway’s ag minister include standing up for the country’s meat industry, leading a trade mission to China and capping how much an individual can lose when betting on horse racing.
