Deere will deposit funds into a class settlement fund.

Deere & Company has reached a settlement to resolve the multidistrict right to repair litigation in the Northern District of Illinois. The case, stemming from a 2022 complaint, concludes without any finding of wrongdoing.

“As we continue to innovate industry leading equipment and technology solutions supported by our world-class dealer network, we are equally committed to providing customers and other service providers with access to repair resources,” said Denver Caldwell, vice president, Aftermarket & Customer Support.

“We’re pleased that this resolution allows us to move forward and remain focused on what matters most – serving our customers,” said Caldwell.

As part of the settlement, Deere will deposit funds into a class settlement fund. These funds will be distributed to eligible class members under a Court-approved plan and cover legal and administrative fees.

Deere will continue offering access to repair resources, including tools, manuals, and diagnostic software. The company insists it is dedicated to helping customers maintain, diagnose, and repair their equipment safely and efficiently.

This settlement reaffirms Deere’s commitment to customer choice and support. The company will also continue investing in solutions to improve equipment uptime and provide technology that helps farmers and ranchers complete their work effectively.

The settlement is pending approval by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Deere encourages those interested to learn more about its customer repair support at deere.com/repair
