The Liberal Party of Canada released its commitments to the Canadian ag sector on April 2.
These promises will “protect farmers, ranchers, and agri-food workers and strengthen Canada’s food sector in Quebec and across Canada,” the party said.
When it comes to supply management, the dairy sector “is off the table in any negotiations with President Trump,” Leader Mark Carney said in a statement.
Another promise included creating a $200 million Domestic Food Processing Fund.
