1) John Deere defending against misinformation again

In November, John deere had to play defense against misinformation after an AI video circulating online suggests the manufacturer is leaving Canada.

“These claims are false,” Jenni Badding, public relations manager with John Deere, told Farms.com in an email.

The claims come from a 17-minute YouTube video titled “Canada ERUPTS as John Deere CUTS OFF Production - Carney EXPLODES As Factory Moves To U.S!”

The video is a compilation of clips from Canadian and American media outlets used to paint a picture of John Deere’s apparent dissatisfaction with Canada and overall struggles in the ag manufacturing industry while an AI narrator provides additional commentary.

These recent claims of John Deere moving production are the second to target the equipment manufacturer in 2025.

In June, an MSN article titled “John Deere Freezes US Manufacturing in Unprecedented Shutdown” started to grain traction online.

In response, John Deere issued a statement highlighting its commitment to invest $20 billion into American manufacturing in the next decade.
