Producers Affected by Flooding and Field Delays Can Access Customized Financial Relief Through FCC to Maintain Cash Flow and Continue Operations.

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is providing financial assistance to customers in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan who are dealing with flooding and weather-related delays that have disrupted field operations.

The organization is offering a range of relief measures to help producers manage financial challenges caused by extreme weather. These may include additional short-term credit, deferred principal payments and other flexible financing solutions based on each producer’s circumstances.

FCC also continues to support investments that improve long-term resilience, including projects focused on water management, drainage, flood mitigation and climate adaptation.

“We stand by our customers over the long term,” said Angy Porteous, senior vice-president, agriculture business financing at FCC. “We have a unique responsibility to partner with our customers and ease their financial stress where possible.”

“Our focus is on helping producers maintain cash flow, continue operating and recover from the impacts of these extreme weather events,” Porteous said.

Producers affected by severe weather are encouraged to contact their FCC relationship manager or the FCC Customer Service Centre at 1-888-332-3301 to discuss the financial support options available for their individual situation.
