To celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Day, Ontario Pork will make an announcement recognizing all of the people across Ontario’s food supply chain, with the launch of The Whole Hog book.

Proceeds from the book are part of a fundraising initiative to be donated to Feed Ontario.

The announcement will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 10AM at the Market Fresh (10 Paisley Street) in Guelph, Ontario.

Created in 1946, Ontario Pork advocates for and is the voice for nearly 1,000 pork producers in the province, an industry that contributes $1.35 billion to Ontario’s GDP resulting in nearly 20,000 full-time equivalent jobs.

Since 2013, Ontario pork producers have donated nearly 300,000 lbs (over 136,000 kilograms) of pork through the Feed Ontario Program, which has provided 1.8 million servings of pork to local community food banks.
