Half a Century of Kubota Growth

Kubota Canada Ltd. proudly marks 50 years of service in Canada, highlighting engineering excellence, innovation, and a commitment to meeting the equipment needs of Canadians.

Since 1975, Kubota has grown from selling compact agricultural tractors to offering a diverse range of award-winning products tailored to evolving farmer needs.

A key milestone in this journey was the launch of the heavy equipment cold-weather testing facility in Timmins, Ontario, in 2013. This facility set a global benchmark for Kubota by ensuring machinery performance in extreme conditions.

In 2022, Kubota Canada expanded further by investing over $80 million in a state-of-the-art corporate office and a 500,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Pickering, Ontario. This growth supports a network that employs over 1,500 Canadians directly and indirectly.

Customer feedback has always been central to Kubota’s success. According to the 2024 North American Equipment Dealers Association survey, Kubota ranks as the top full-line OEM for dealer satisfaction, product quality, and support.

Innovation continues to drive the company forward. Recent additions to its compact construction lineup reflect Kubota’s focus on addressing unique Canadian and global needs.

“We are exceptionally proud of our half century of continued growth in Canada”, said Yannick Montagano, President of Kubota Canada.

“When we launched in Canada 50 years ago, our goal was to sell compact agricultural tractors to Canadians. Since then, we have significantly expanded our award-winning product line-up to meet the evolving needs of a broad range of markets and individuals. We launched the first-ever heavy equipment cold weather testing facility in Timmins, Ontario, in 2013, which is now the global gold standard for Kubota, ensuring our machinery consistently lives up to real-life conditions.”

As Kubota celebrates this milestone, it remains dedicated to serving Canadian farmers and businesses, looking ahead to another 50 years of innovation and excellence.
