Global partnerships aim to empower farmers youth and climate smart food systems
Nestlé is taking important steps to accelerate the global shift toward regenerative agriculture by forming new partnerships with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Goodwall. These collaborations aim to support farmers, protect natural resources, and encourage young people to become future leaders in agriculture.
"Regenerative agriculture is essential to the long-term resilience of our business and the global food system," said Stephanie Hart, Chief Operations Officer of Nestlé. "By combining TNC's conservation expertise with Goodwall's ability to mobilize millions of young people, we can accelerate progress and build a more sustainable future for farmers, communities and the planet."
Regenerative agriculture focuses on improving soil health, protecting biodiversity, and helping farmers grow crops in a more sustainable way. Nestlé believes this approach is essential for building a strong and resilient global food system.
The company is working closely with TNC to strengthen and expand the Nestlé Agriculture Framework, which guides farmers on how to improve productivity while caring for nature and increasing income.
Through this partnership, Nestlé and TNC will scale science-based solutions that restore ecosystems, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen farmer livelihoods. Both organizations share a common goal of making farming more sustainable and resilient to climate change.
In addition, Nestlé is partnering with Goodwall, a global youth learning platform, to attract young people to agriculture. The collaboration will focus on building an engaging agriculture curriculum using gamification. Young users will learn about regenerative farming, develop practical skills, and explore opportunities as future agripreneurs. The platform will also allow students to share ideas, test solutions, and learn from real world challenges.
These initiatives support Nestlé’s wider ambition to make regenerative agriculture the standard across its global supply chain. They also help create a strong pipeline of next generation farmers and agricultural innovators.
The partnerships were officially announced at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. Leaders from Nestlé, TNC, and Goodwall joined a panel discussion on the future of food systems, highlighting the importance of collaboration, youth involvement, and climate smart agriculture in shaping a sustainable future.
