U.S. Soy leaders share supply quality sustainability and market insights across Asia

The U.S. Soybean Export Council hosted the 2025 U.S. Soy Outlook Conference series across East Asia in November. Events were held in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and China, bringing together buyers, industry leaders, technical experts, and U.S. Soy farmer representatives.

The conferences focused on global soybean supply and demand trends, crop quality, sustainability efforts, and opportunities for food and feed sectors. Across all markets, discussions shared practical market information, including global trade flows, soybean meal use, and ways to strengthen stable soy value chains during changing market conditions.

U.S. Soy farmers played a key role by sharing real farm experiences and production updates. Farmer leaders from several U.S. states explained how growers are improving efficiency and maintaining strong stewardship practices. They emphasized their commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality soybeans to global buyers.

USSEC leaders also shared insights on global supply, demand, and pricing trends. Sustainability was a major topic, especially the U.S. Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol, which offers verified and transparent proof of responsible soybean production.

“Across East Asia, we saw strong engagement from industry partners navigating a complex global environment. These discussions help ensure buyers, processors and feed manufacturers have clarity on supply conditions, quality expectations and sustainability alignment as they plan for the year ahead,” said Carlos Salinas, Executive Director for East Asia at USSEC.

In Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, sessions highlighted soybean quality, global oilseed supplies, soybean meal value, and innovation in food and feed use. Participants discussed how sustainability and traceability are becoming more important in buying decisions.

The final conference took place in China, where USSEC partnered with Henan University of Technology for the U.S.–China Soy Innovation and Outlook Conference. Discussions focused on feed efficiency, processing innovation, and long-term cooperation.

Overall, the conference series helped strengthen partnerships, support informed decisions, and promote a reliable and transparent soy value chain across East Asia.
