Heat Stress AppDeveloped by :
Centre for Mobile Education and Research
On those hot summer days, livestock and poultry can be at risk of heat stress. A new app allows farmers to calculate heat stress experienced by livestock or poultry, while providing suggestions on how to reduce it. Heat stress is based on the measured barn temperature and relative humidity. The app combines research and production information from the University of Guelph. The app supports three languages – English, French and Spanish. Seven different types of livestock can be measured.
