Box Bar Angus Ranch has a reputation for hardy, high-producing cattle. Cattle producers will confirm that for those big-ribbed, wide-topped herd bulls, and fancy deep-bodied heifers to produce, performance matters at every turn on the ranch as the margins can be lean.

With more than 3,500 acres of deeded land and GRLs being offered for sale, 'Acres of Pedigree' is the next chapter the Coventry family as Box Bar Angus Ranch will continue in the cattle business for years to come.

'Acres of Pedigree' offers a phenomenal opportunity to assemble an impressive mix of cultivated acres, as well as improved pasture, and native grass. ‘Acres of Pedigree’ is situated in one of the few areas left in Western Canada where the investment matches the producer’s way of life; an area where there is room to expand without getting boxed in.

PARCEL 1 is the ranch headquarters and is comprised of 319 deeded acres and another 1,085 acres of leased land, including a unique offering with an irrigated hay lease. There are approximately 50 cultivated acres located near the silage pit, another 35 acres of improved pasture, and an abundance of hard, native grass. The irrigated hay lease is the insurance the ranch enjoys during the dry years. The hay-lease plots provided more than 600 round bales to the ranch in 2022 alone. The leased half section that makes up GRL 372874 offers approximately 100 acres of improved pasture, with the balance in native grass and boasts a large dugout in the center.

PARCEL 1 includes a 60’ x 40’ hip roof barn that enjoyed a substantial metal cladding upgrade in 2016, as well as a steel Quonset that is located on the south end of the Parcel (half with in-floor heating and half set up for cold storage), which boasts two large, overhead doors that are great for keeping the chore tractor tucked in during the cold, winter nights. A 100’ metal-clad building provides a covered cattle handling system, and a solid, two-story farmhouse are ready for the next family. The water table at the homesite has not changed for thousands of years. The artesian well that runs the ranch is plumbed into two, 1,700 gallons, black poly water tanks located in a heated water shed and handles 500 head comfortably. Clean water is known to help put pounds on cattle, and 'Acres of Pedigree' has reliable water that takes the worry out of seasonal swings. With steel corrals, 7 stock waterers, livestock cameras, grain storage, a sound yard that includes a silage pit, and a great site for cattle liners and farm equipment, this ranch is well appointed and ready for its new owner.

PARCEL 2 is comprised of 319 deeded acres, including 80 acres that were planted in Barley in 2022, and the balance is made up of improved pasture. PARCEL 3 consists of 319 acres of improved pasture from one end to the other. If combined, these two Parcels are ready for the next owner to put this full section into crop production or continue utilizing the improved grass. Parcels 2 & 3 offer ideal acres for the farmer looking to expand their existing operation. A solar water system in the center of the section has a large tire waterer with a small corral system and good fences and is ready for grain farmers and ranchers alike.

PARCEL 4 is another deeded half-section located immediately to the east of Parcel 2 and provides approximately 90 acres cultivated with Barley in 2022, another 80 acres of improved pasture, and the balance in native grass. A free flowing well on the west end and a small dugout on the east side of the Parcel provide reliable water, and with the existing fences, this half section is ready to go.

Located at the NE corner of Parcel 1, PARCEL 5 is a full quarter that ties in well with Parcels 1 & 4 and offers hard grass and an attractive starting bid.

PARCEL 6 is one deeded quarter comprised of 138 acres that is located on the northern boundary of Parcel 5. Parcel 6is fenced, has great access and a bottom-fed dugout.

PARCEL 7 consists of a deeded half section and an additional 4 leased quarters, all of which are located just north of the main operation. The deeded land has about 120 acres of improved pasture with the balance in native grass and has a dugout in the center.
