Alberta's 2022 Blue Book

Farmers are busy pencilling in the numbers for this year's cropping season.

With that in mind, it's time to think about ordering your 2022 Blue Book.

Four of Alberta's crop commissions are once again working together on this year's Crop Protection Guide and have put an advance ordering system in place.

Alberta Barley, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, and the Alberta Wheat Commission took over production of the Blue Book from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 2021.

Along with annual updates to crop protection products and information, producers also saw a revised sprayer operations section and a new section on pesticide resistance in the 2021 book.

Alberta Barley Chair Tara Sawyer says after a successful first year producing and delivering the 2021 Blue Book, the commissions couldn’t be prouder of what we can accomplish together.

Todd Hames Chairs the Alberta Wheat Commission and says there is a strong indication that this trusted resource remains greatly valued amongst
farmers and agronomists in Alberta.

Farmers, agronomists and agriculture retailers can place their order for the 2022 Blue Book here, with the books expected to be sent out in March.
