The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the Arkansas Century Farm Program. This program honors Arkansas families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years, recognizing their contributions to the state’s agricultural heritage.
Completed applications must be submitted online no later than July 31, 2026, to be considered for the 2026 induction cycle. The program is voluntary, and there is no cost to apply. To qualify, Arkansas farms must meet the following criteria:
- The same family must have owned the farm for at least 100 years by December 31, 2026. Ownership may pass through generations, including children, grandchildren, siblings, and nephews or nieces – by birth, marriage, or adoption.
- The farm must include at least 10 acres of the original land acquisition and make a financial contribution to the overall farm income.
Qualifying farms will receive a personalized Arkansas Century Farm certificate and metal sign listing the farm name and year established.
Established in 2012, the Arkansas Century Farm Program highlights the historical significance of Arkansas farm families and their lasting impact on the state’s agriculture industry. Since its inception, 687 farms have been inducted. More information and the application for the Arkansas Century Farm Program are available on the Department’s website here.
