Bioenterprise Canada is pleased to announce the successful applicants for Round 3 of the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub (GOAH). Twenty-two (22) Ontario-based companies have been selected to receive advisory, mentorship, and support services through Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine, our growing national alliance supporting agri-food innovation.
“The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub is helping innovative agri-food businesses turn great ideas into commercial success, generating opportunities across the value chain,” said the Honourable Heath MacDonald, federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. “By supporting entrepreneurs as they scale their businesses, we’re strengthening Canada’s agri-food sector, driving economic growth, and building a more resilient food system for the future.”
“Amid trade disruptions and market uncertainty, our government is protecting Ontario by investing in the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub, creating new opportunities for local agri-food and agri-tech companies to innovate, commercialize and grow,” said Trevor Jones, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness. “This initiative is enabling more Ontario companies to bring products to market, building a stronger, more competitive agri-food sector while providing the expertise, partnerships and resources needed to turn promising ideas into lasting success.”
The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub is funded by the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), a five-year, $3.5 billion federal-provincial-territorial initiative. GOAH supports innovative Ontario-based companies in advancing new technologies and solutions toward commercialization and adoption.
“Canadian agriculture is navigating one of the most dynamic and complex business environments we’ve seen in decades. The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub helps innovative companies overcome commercialization challenges by providing the expertise, strategic guidance, and industry connections they need to grow,” said Dave Smardon, CEO of Bioenterprise Canada. “One of the clearest signs of the program’s success is that companies are reaching important milestones and returning to tackle new opportunities as they scale. By supporting entrepreneurs throughout their commercialization journey, we’re building stronger businesses, a more resilient food system, and a more competitive Canadian agri-food sector.”
The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub Initiative supports the Grow Ontario Strategy by accelerating the development and adoption of innovative technologies that strengthen competitiveness, expand market opportunities, and build long-term resilience across Ontario’s agri-food sector. Through a suite of advisory services, mentorship, and strategic support, the initiative helps innovative Ontario companies scale their businesses and bring new solutions to market.
GOAH is designed to support companies at different stages of commercialization. As businesses achieve key milestones and their needs evolve, they may be eligible to receive additional support focused on new priorities. This staged approach helps ensure companies continue building the capabilities needed for long-term growth and market success.
