As part of Canadian Agricultural Safety Week, March 15 – 21, 2026, the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) has announced its new vision and mission statements, underscoring the organization’s ongoing commitment to promoting agricultural safety.
CASA’s new vision: A Canada where no one is harmed in agriculture.
CASA’s new mission: CASA promotes a culture of agricultural safety that protects people through knowledge sharing, support, and meaningful connections.
“Updating our mission and vision is about more than new words on paper; it reaffirms our commitment to supporting the driving forces behind Canada’s agricultural sector: farmers, farm families, and farm workers,” says Sandra Miller, CASA’s executive director. “As our industry evolves, so must our approach to safety. These changes emphasize the future we’re working toward and reflect CASA’s focus on collaborative, practical solutions that aim to help everyone on Canadian farms return home safely at the end of the day.”
As the agricultural workplace can be extremely hazardous, with more than 60 Canadian lives lost as a result of agriculture-related injuries in an average year, promoting farm safety is essential to maintaining a thriving and sustainable agricultural sector.
