Crispin Colvin elected Chair of FFCO

GUELPH – Crispin Colvin, representing the Ontario Federation of Agriculture on the FFCO board, has been elected chair for a one-year term at the group’s annual conference. Janelle Cardiff, nominated by Egg Farmers of Ontario, will serve as first vice chair, and Jennifer Mitchell, nominated by Ontario Canola Growers, as second vice chair. John Taylor, nominated by the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association, has been re- elected as treasurer. Bonnie den Haan steps into the role of past chair.

Retiring director Brian Gilroy, who served on the board for the last ten years, and as the board’s chair from 2016 to 2018, was thanked for his years of service and commitment to the organization.

Chair Crispin Colvin said, “I am excited for the future of FFCO and honoured to have been chosen by the board as chair. We have a lot of work to do for and with agriculture in Ontario, and I look forward to a busy year of spreading agriculture awareness across the province.”

Vice Chair Janelle Cardiff added, “Farm & Food Care Ontario does such important work to raise agriculture awareness amongst our urban and suburban neighbours in Ontario, and I am so pleased to be a part of that. As we continue to build on our past work, the future looks bright. ”
