Eggs in Incubators on February 1 Down 4 Percent from Last Year

Turkey eggs in incubators on February 1, 2014, in the United States totaled 26.8 million, down 4 percent from February 1, 2013. Eggs in incubators were down 2 percent from the January 1, 2014 total of 27.3 million eggs. 

Poults Hatched During January Down 3 Percent from Last Year

Turkey poults hatched during January 2014, in the United States totaled 23.4 million, down 3 percent from January 2013. Poults hatched were up 6 percent from the December 2013 total of 22.0 million poults. 

Net Poults Placed During January Down 5 Percent from Last Year

The 22.4 million net poults placed during January 2014 in the United States were down 5 percent from the number placed during the same month a year earlier. Net placements were up 6 percent from the December 2013 total of
21.1 million.
