Eggs in Incubators on March 1 Down 1 Percent from Last Year

Turkey eggs in incubators on March 1, 2014, in the United States totaled 26.0 million, down 1 percent from March  1,  2013. Eggs in incubators were down 3 percent from the February 1, 2014 total of 26.9 million eggs. 

Poults Hatched During February Down 2 Percent from Last Year

Turkey poults hatched during February 2014, in the United States totaled 21.7 million, down 2 percent from February  2013. Poults hatched were down 7 percent from the January 2014 total of 23.4 million poults. 

Net Poults Placed During February Down 1 Percent from Last Year

The 21.3 million net poults placed during February 2014 in the United States were down 1 percent from the number placed during the same month a year earlier. Net placements were down 4 percent from the January 2014 total of 22.1 million.
