FCC 4-H Club Fund Fueling Fun Across Canada

Following the selection of the 2023 recipients, the FCC 4-H Club Fund has surpassed $1 million in funding since its inception, and supported more than 2,050 4-H clubs across Canada over the last decade.

“Through our longstanding partnership, FCC has supported the important work of bolstering the 4-H movement at the grassroots level,” said 4-H Canada interim CEO, Hugh Maynard. “The FCC 4-H Club Fund allows clubs and volunteer leaders to put vital resources toward the fun, safe, and accessible programming for youth leaders that is the hallmark of 4-H in Canada.”

Now in its 11th year, this funding initiative is generously supported by FCC, and provides a total of $100,000 annually in grants to help 4-H clubs from coast-to-coast continue to offer worldclass positive youth development programming.

“The 4-H Clubs across Canada should take immense pride in the work they do to provide a host of lifelong skills to a diverse network of young people,” said Justine Hendricks, FCC president and CEO. “It’s incredible to hit this funding milestone, but more importantly to know FCC is supporting an organization that helps to define the future success of the Canadian food and agriculture industry through its nationwide programming.”

For 2023, a total of 203 clubs received grants of up to $500. The funding can be put towards anything from local 4-H events to program materials to costs associated with eliminating barriers to entry, such as American Sign Language (ASL) training for members.
