Four Companies Receive Funds From B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation

Four British Columbia businesses have received funds through the B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI), a Jan. 26 news release said. The companies are developing solutions to help ensure the province’s food systems remain secure, resilient and sustainable.

“Agritech is the future and the work these four companies are doing in partnership with the B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation is helping ensure B.C.’s food systems are secure, resilient and sustainable,” Pam Alexis, B.C.’s minister of agriculture and food, said in the release.

The four companies who are receiving a total investment of $540,000, including $122,500 from BCCAI, are:

  • Aeroroot Systems in Surrey, B.C.
  • Agrotek Industries in Burnaby, B.C.
  • Bakerview EcoDairy in Abbotsford, B.C.
  • Lucent BioSciences in West Vancouver, B.C.
