For many canola growers, there’s a healthy interest in incorporating biologicals into their operations because of the many potential benefits, like increased nutrient uptake and increased yield potential.

Combining three modes of action to improve crop health and preserve yield potential.

WAVE uses the most concentrated formulation of Ascophyllum nodosum, a seaweed extract, on the market to deliver three beneficial modes of action in canola plants:

  • First, it increases nutrient use efficiency, including uptake of NO3 and NH4, conversion of NO3 to NH4 and nitrogen assimilation in the plant.
  • Next, it enhances reproductive traits, including increasing flowering and fruit set.

WAVE is foliar applied to actively growing canola crops and has excellent tank-mix compatibility, so it is easy to incorporate into existing crop protection applications, such as post emergent glufosinate applications. Dalgliesh says INTERLINE® herbicide is an especially effective glufosinate tank-mix partner for WAVE, delivering exceptional weed control and a performance boost in one pass.

The highly concentrated formulation of WAVE means growers use less product to treat more acres and have less packaging and waste to dispose of. With a low application rate of only 60 ml/acre, one container of WAVE can cover 120 acres. Finally, because WAVE is not a living organism, it boasts a longer shelf life than many competitive products in this space.
