ICE Reverses Exemption of Ag from Immigration Raids

By Ryan Hanrahan

The Washington Post’s Carol D. Leonnig, Natalie Allison, Marianne LeVine and Lauren Kaori Gurley reported that “the Department of Homeland Security on Monday told staff that it was reversing guidance issued last week that agents were not to conduct immigration raids at farms, hotels and restaurants — a decision that stood at odds with President Donald Trump’s calls for mass deportations of anyone without legal status.”

“Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including its Homeland Security Investigations division, told agency leaders in a call Monday that agents must continue conducting immigration raids at agricultural businesses, hotels and restaurants, according to two people familiar with the call,” Leonnig, Allison, LeVine and Gurley reported. “The new instructions were shared in an 11 a.m. call to representatives from 30 field offices across the country.”

In today’s YouTube video, we walk through some corn fields scouting for disease pressure. Living in the river bottoms like we do, we are always at risk for gray leaf spot and Northern corn blight. We are doing an aerial application of Miravis Neo to protect our corn from those diseases. This year we are using a drone to do our application to help ensure that we can be timely and protect our investment. Miravis Neo helps corn and soybeans stay cleaner and greener through harvest for greater potential yield and ROI.
