Making every drop and acre count

Alberta is challenging innovators to tackle three of the province's biggest environmental and economic challenges: growing more, saving water and restoring land.

Through Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA), up to $60 million is available for innovative technologies that can deliver practical solutions for Alberta's farmers, industries and communities. The new Agriculture, Water and Land Challenge is one of ERA's largest technology competitions. It is an open call for proposals, with funding to be awarded to the strongest projects that demonstrate real potential to deliver results in Alberta.

“Alberta has some of the best innovators in the world, and we're challenging them to put their ideas to work. I look forward to seeing the difference these projects make in the field and in new export markets.”
