Location of Workplace: 1643 Sale Barn Rd, Greely

Description of Offences: Engaged in business as a livestock dealer without a licence, contrary to section 2(a) of the Livestock and Livestock Products Act.

Date of Offence: March 17, 2024

Date of Conviction: May 15, 2025

Penalty Imposed: $1,000 plus a 25-per-cent victim fine surcharge, totalling $1,250.

Background: The Regulatory Compliance Unit (RCU) of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) received a complaint alleging that Dennis Bakker was dealing cattle in Ontario without the required licence under the Livestock and Livestock Products Act (LLPA).
