July has been an active weather month in Alberta with hail, heavy rain and strong winds causing crop damage across the province. As a result, hail claim volumes have increased significantly with AFSC working on 2,656 outstanding hail claims as of July 28.
Agriculture Financial Services (AFSC) recognizes the uncertainty that can come with waiting for an inspection and wants to assure clients that adjusters are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to assess reported damage. AFSC’s adjusters are located throughout Alberta and are reassigned as needed to respond to changing claim volumes across the province.
Ensuring an efficient claims process

Clients can assist in speeding up the inspection process by assessing their fields for damage following a storm. Please note that when non-damaged fields are included in claims, it increases the overall workload and can impact wait times.
To help clients identify potential damage, AFSC sends email notifications when storm activity may have occurred near insured fields. Clients must be signed up for AFSC client notifications to receive these alerts.
