NDSU Extension to Host Soil Water Workshop on Jan. 21

North Dakota State University Extension will hold its 2026 Soil Water Workshop on Jan. 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota.

This one-day event will focus on the latest advances in soil, water and fertilizer management. Virtual attendance will be available.

This annual workshop draws North Dakota producers, agronomists, consultants and industry professionals to learn about topics in soil and nutrient management. Participants will hear from leading researchers and specialists in the field and will have opportunities for student poster sessions and networking.

Sessions begin at 8 a.m. with topics ranging from fertility management in barley to understanding soil cation exchange capacity. Following lunch, the program will continue with topics including managing sulfur in North Dakota cropping systems and recent research on new nitrogen sources.
