Ottawa and Quebec City Provide Financial Assistance to Gibiers Canabec for the Implementation of a Quality Management System

The Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec support enhancing the competitiveness of food-processing companies.

Jean-Claude Poissant, Parliamentary Secretary to the federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, and Laurent Lessard, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food announced financial assistance of up to $90,000 to Gibiers Canabec inc. for the company’s project to implement a recognized HACCP/FSEP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point / Food Safety Enhancement Program) quality management system.

The financial assistance is being provided through the Quebec Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food’s Programme Levier, which is jointly funded under the Growing Forward 2 agreement.
