New Bergen Site Boosts High Value Crop Equipment ProductionDESCRIPTION:

Oxbo, a global company known for making advanced farming equipment, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Bergen, New York. The modern site highlights the company’s long-term commitment to supporting agriculture in North America while creating new job opportunities and encouraging innovation in farm machinery.

The new facility covers about 200,000 square feet and serves as a production center for advanced harvesters used in high value crops. These crops include seed corn, sweet corn, green beans, and peas, which require specialized and efficient harvesting machines.

The Bergen site brings together design, manufacturing, testing, and training under one roof, making operations more efficient.

“This new facility marks an important milestone for Oxbo,” said Joe Perzia, President of the High Value Crop Division. “By transitioning operations from our former Byron, NY facility into a purpose‑built, highly efficient facility in Bergen, NY we are able to provide more innovative, high-quality products and even stronger support to our customers. We are proud to be part of the Bergen community and excited about what lies ahead.”

The facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies such as laser-based fabrication systems, robotic and manual welding, and powder and liquid finishing systems.

Multiple assembly lines allow the production of different machines at the same time. A large product showroom and an outdoor test track give customers and dealers the chance to see equipment in action and receive hands-on training.

“The opening of our Bergen facility reflects our continued focus on sustainable, long-term growth,” said Roel Zeevat, CEO of Oxbo. “This site is a major step forward for our U.S. operations and provides the space, capabilities, and environment needed to support innovation, collaboration, and customer success. We are grateful for the strong partnerships in the region and pleased to further strengthen Oxbo’s presence in New York State.”

During the opening ceremony, the company welcomed community members, customers, partners, and local leaders. The event included ribbon cutting and guided tours, celebrating the teamwork and partnerships that made the facility possible.

The new location is expected to support around 250 employees working in manufacturing, engineering, training, and administrative roles. This investment strengthens Oxbo’s role as a leading employer in agricultural technology and advanced manufacturing.

By moving operations from an older site into this purpose-built facility, the company aims to improve production quality, increase efficiency, and better support farmers. The Bergen facility also supports future growth by allowing faster communication between engineering and production teams.
