Notice is hereby given that the Arkansas Department of Agriculture is amending the Official Standards for Seed Certification in Arkansas, 2 CAR Pt. 34. Act 527 of 2025 amended Arkansas Code §§ 2-18-102 through 2-18-109 to designate the Arkansas Department of Agriculture (Department) as the agency responsible for investigating and certifying agricultural seeds. The act also amended Arkansas Code § 2-18-105 to require the Department, instead of seed certification applicants, to calculate and invoice applicants for costs related to inspection and certification and promotion and advertising of certified seed. Amendments to 2 CAR Pt. 34, Official Standards for Seed Certification in Arkansas, are made to incorporate the changes of the act.
