Register now for the Minnesota Conference on Precision Agriculture, June 5 in Saint Paul

How is precision agriculture changing in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics? That’s the theme of the 2025 Minnesota Conference of Precision Agriculture, happening Thursday, June 5 in Saint Paul. The conference will also be available online. Register now!

Registration

Registration is now available for the 2025 Minnesota Conference on Precision Agriculture (2025 MCPA). The early bird registration fee is $30 (deadline extended to May 25). The regular fee is $50 (after May 25). Student registration fee is $20. It will also be available online, and the registration fee to attend the virtual conference is $20. A light breakfast and buffet lunch are included if you attend in-person. The deadline for registration is June 2, 2025.

The conference will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the St. Paul Student Center on the U of M St. Paul Campus (2017 Buford Ave, St Paul, MN 55108; Google Maps).

The theme of the 2025 MCPA conference is “Advancing Precision Agriculture in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” It will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Precision Agriculture Center and explore how AI and robotics will transform precision agriculture, advances in precision management of seeding, nutrients, water, weeds, diseases, and dairy farms, on-farm research, demonstration and decision support tools to support adoption, and discuss research needs to further support the development and adoption of precision agriculture in Minnesota. In addition to research presentations, there will also be two panel discussions focusing on adoption, research needs, and AI and robotics for precision agriculture.

Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. We also have a part-time employee, Brock. My dad started the farm in 1980. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.

I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
