APAS president Todd Lewis was part of a national farm lobby effort on parliament hill in Ottawa last week.
Lewis says it was a successful trip as farm leaders from across Canada in the Canadian Federation of Agriculture held numerous meetings with politicans to discuss areas of concern, including taxation and trade.
APAS president Todd Lewis feels it was a good effort.
“I think certainly on the tax side,” Lewis said. “I think there’s been a pretty intense lobby on the part of the farm families across the country. But there is lots of politics going on in Ottawa.”
Lewis adds MP’s were also told Saskatchewan is opposed to any carbon tax.
