Soybean Stop – Coming To A Field Near You!

  • Soybean Stop featuring Residue Management for Corn and Soybeans

  • Wednesday, June 17 at 9:00 am – 4 miles east of Winkler on Hwy 14
Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers is excited to introduce Soybean Stop – a field event for farmers and agronomists to tour research and discuss agronomy. Our first Soybean Stop will feature On-Farm Residue Management trials in Winkler, MB. Last fall, soybean residue was managed with tillage, vertical tillage, aggressive vertical tillage and zero tillage.  Join us for morning coffee to learn about the research trial and see how the corn looks in each tillage treatment.

After the soybean residue site, we will head to the corn residue site at 10 am. This field is located 1.5 miles north of Winkler on Hwy 428. Last fall, corn residue was managed with tillage, vertical tillage and strip tillage. Join us to evaluate the emerging soybeans and hear about early season results. Presenters include agronomists and researchers from the University of Manitoba, Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers, Manitoba Corn Growers Association, and Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development.
